Cholmondeley making a difference for at-risk children

Cholmondeley Children’s Centre cares for more than 500 at-risk children each year.

The predominantly community-funded centre provides short-term emergency and planned respite care for children aged between three and 12 years old.

Cholmondeley chief executive Arron Perriam said funding was essential in the day-to-day running of the centre.

“For us, it’s not just about the numbers, it’s about the opportunity to make a radical and enduring difference in the lives of Canterbury children,” he said.

“The funding we receive from Rātā is less about the money and it’s more about the opportunity they are giving us to make a very real impact in the community.”
