Free Theatre and Arts Circus

undefined

Free Theatre and Arts Circus (FTAC) was the first creative arts group to move back into Christchurch’s Arts Centre. Working with two further funding partners Christchurch City Council and Creative New Zealand, Rātā Foundation was able to provide funding support to help the group fit out the space for performances by Free Theatre, along with venue operation by Arts Circus.

This process was unusual in that it was a real partnership between the three funding organisations, where the applicant group dealt with one funding entity and did not have to submit multiple applications. It is a great example of funding collaboration, and a model Rātā Foundation will explore more in the future to increase efficiencies for both funders and applicant groups.
